Indian Harbour Light House
One of the islands in the harbor area
Turn around 180 degrees, and this large island is off the shore
The tide was out so we just had to do a little beach combing.

Our next stop was the delightful fishing and retirement community of Prospect and Prospect Bay. Patrice spied this wonderful set of model buildings, animals, and people that had been built by one of the locals. Unfortunately, he passed away just the week before we visited his work. None of these models were taller than about 3 feet. Use the house in the background of the first picture as a reference--the detail is amazing. Wonder what will happen to the models now that he's gone.
"Flakes" for drying cod
Dog on the porch and laundry
All models to scale to each other
We found the light house at Lower Prospect and Terence Bay after a short hike from the road. We were also able to do a little beach combing from this scenic site.

On our way back to our campground we found this lighthouse at Bayside.

We ended our day with coffee and a chocolate tort at the Sou'Wester restaurant at Peggy's Cove. Peggy's Cove is a tourist destination, and there were hundreds of people all over the little town. August 5 (Monday) is Nova Scotia Natal Day--celebrating the birth of Nova Scotia as a Canadian Province. People were out on beaches with their families, swimming and sunbathing, and the rocks near the lighthouse at Peggy's Cover were covered with people coming and going.
On our way home we saw some thunderheads that were moving in and kicking up the seas.
