6 August 2013 Shopping in Halifax

Today we needed to go to Halifax for some shopping. We found a bed sheet at a Home Outfitters, a store very much like Bed Bath & Beyond. We found groceries and supplied at WalMart--this was a huge mall. Jerry needed an oil change and he and Marge also did some shopping at WalMart. We had lunch at Montana's. This restaurant has all the trappings--music, wall decorations, and waitress dress you would expect to find in Montana. However, there are no Montana's restaurants in the US, a ton of them in Ontario, and several of them in the other Canadian Provinces. Our waitress had a very French accent, and had never been to Montana.

Before we went shopping this morning we said goodbye to Jim and Cynthia. We sure enjoyed having them with us for a few days and will miss them. [Did I already mention that this couple went to Alaska with us and Marge and Jerry (and others) in 2007?] Carlos is already moping around wondering where they are.

So long Jim and Cynthia
No you can't go Carlos!

In the afternoon I helped Jerry remove the landing legs he had temporarily installed; he's getting ready to take their rig to Bedford for what we hope is the final welding fix. Patrice and I ended our day with dinner at the "Fine Diner" just up the road from our campground. Not our best Nova Scotia meal.
